After some discussion ( http://www.listal.com/groups/viewthread/9683/ ) I have decided to make the following changes to the points which are awarded for actions on the site.

Changed:

Points for adding videos 20 from 10
Points for adding lists 100 from 50
Points for receiving votes 10 from 5

Added:

Adding notes to lists 10 points
Posting comments 10 points
Promotion to the front page 100 points

Removed:

Points for adding favorite lists (merged into normal list points)

I may make additional changes like more points for longer reviews, but changes like this are more complicated since I don’t calculate or store the length of a review yet.

I have added more rss feeds.

I have just released the new version of Listal and have restarted this blog again

Some of the major feature upgrades in this release are:

- Redesign of most pages of the site

- A new front page where content that has been voted on throughout
the site is promoted to the front page.

- An update feed where you can follow specific members updates or
view the entire feed for the site: http://www.listal.com/feed

- Calculation of charts for people you follow.  We calculate
taste similarities based on ratings to make it easy to find
good people to follow.

- New graphical ways of displaying collections
